Members of the MGC experience Greek life in a unique way; each chapter fosters strong, lifelong bonds between members and alumni. Most sororities are around 2. Greek life was founded at the University of Florida in and there are currently four Greek councils, the Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Panhellenic Council, with a combined total of 64 chapters.

The amount and nature of the student suspensions are currently unknown. Phi Delta Theta was placed on probation last Fall through the Fall semester. This was due due to an unregistered off-campus event that provided alcohol to underage members and damaged an off-campus location. In addition, the fraternity was subjected to a loss of UF privileges. Delta Gamma was placed on a conduct review last Fall through the Spring semester.
